Terms of service
Acceptance and operator
These terms are an agreement between you and the HereLoop Service Operator for the HereLoop App, website, regional accounts, and related services. By using the service, you accept these terms and the privacy policy; otherwise, stop using it.
Eligibility and accounts
An account is required to use the HereLoop App. HereLoop does not collect dates of birth or age declarations, set a minimum age, or claim to verify age or guardian consent. Minors should use the service with guardian guidance and follow local rules. Keep your login method, device, and sessions secure, and take responsibility for account activity. Notify support promptly of unauthorized use.
Service scope
HereLoop provides campus second-hand discovery, barter, fixed-price listings, private coordination, Mesh relaying, and account capabilities. The web is read-only; contact, proposals, and negotiation occur in the App. Service depends on devices, Bluetooth, networks, relays, app stores, and third parties and is not guaranteed to be continuous or produce a transaction.
Listings and prohibited conduct
List only items you may lawfully dispose of, with truthful descriptions. Fraud, counterfeit or stolen goods, dangerous goods, weapons, illegal drugs, prescription medicines, regulated products, sexual content, personal-data trading, and anything prohibited by local law are forbidden. Do not harass, scrape at scale, bypass access controls, distribute malware, or disrupt infrastructure.
Marketplace and offline settlement boundary
HereLoop supports barter and fixed-price sale. Any fixed-price payment is settled directly in person offline. The platform does not collect or escrow money, process refunds, or provide delivery, appraisal, insurance, transaction guarantees, or dispute arbitration. Participants assess authenticity, title, condition, safety, meeting arrangements, and performance themselves.
In-person safety
Meet in a public, well-lit campus location, inspect the item before exchange or payment, avoid advance transfers, and disclose no unnecessary personal information. Stop the transaction and contact campus security or local law enforcement if you encounter threats, fraud, or unlawful conduct.
Content and intellectual property
You retain rights in your content and grant HereLoop a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license limited to displaying, transmitting, caching, and protecting it as needed to operate the service. Do not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights. Rights holders may send a verifiable notice to support.
Enforcement
To protect users, the service, or legal compliance, we may reject, limit distribution of, or remove prohibited content and may restrict or terminate access. Except for urgent safety, fraud, or legal requirements, we will reasonably explain the main reason and provide an appeal channel.
Membership and third parties
Membership is also governed by the membership terms and app-store rules. Apple, email, mapping or geocoding, relays, and other third-party services operate under their own terms; HereLoop does not make promises on their behalf.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as-is and as available. To the extent permitted by law, HereLoop is not responsible for user goods, offline transactions, third-party services, or indirect loss. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that law does not allow us to exclude, including intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
Changes and stopping use
We publish versions and effective dates. Material changes to platform rules or user rights will generally be posted at least seven days in advance unless law, security, or an urgent fix requires earlier effect. If you reject a change, stop using the service and delete the account.
Applicable rules and disputes
Contact support@hereloop.com first to seek an informal resolution. Mandatory consumer-protection and other non-waivable laws of your location continue to apply. Unresolved disputes may be brought before a court or regulator with lawful jurisdiction.
